Electrical and Electronics Engineering student at Anna University, passionate about Renewable energy and it's applications. I also do some web development, build android applications and stuff, a skill I picked up on the way. I freelance selectively, you may contact me if you want a website or an android app built

I'm also an Ultimate Frisbee and Spikeball player. I manage India Spikeball, organize Spikeball tournaments in India and I am a part of Shurikens 2.0, an Ultimate Frisbee team based in Chennai. Besides all these, I'm a foodie, binge watcher, writer, overall sociable human being.

WhatsAwesome

WhatsAwesome - Food Ranking Application

WhatsAwesome is an Android application where food items can be voted on by any user. Uses Google Places API to index all restaurants and Parse cloud backend. Essentially using the app you can definitively know the best place for chicken noodles in your locality, not just one person's opinion. Still Under Construction

ZenODoc is an online eye care consultation platform from Dr. Agarwal's Eye Hospitals. The institution has been a veteran in eye care for over six decades and has over 60 hospitals across the globe. The website has been modified to add custom analytics, custom php scripts, etc.

Single Phase Grid connected Micro-Inverter ( 230 W ).

A 230W single phase grid tied micro inverter using an interleaved flyback topology. The project was built using a dsPic micro-controller and based on Microchip's reference design for PPS Enviro Power

Low cost hybrid GSM, Cloud based Remote Relay Control and Management System with Android application

Built a remote relay control to change the state of a relay using GSM band. The whole project was built using a ATtiny85 microcontroller and GSM modules. The device works by parsing an SMS and thus changing the state of any device connected to the relay. An android application has been built with cloud integration for multi-user operation of the relay. The back end database is powered by Parse. This solution has been developed for Panickker Switchgear as a cheap alternative for existing technologies. The whole device has been developed for less than 30$.

Pedal Powered Generator

Built a pedal powered bicycle generator for a "Justice Rocks" concert organised by "Leaky Bucket", an environmental activism initiative. The generator was used to power LED lights during the event. It also featured a charge controller and a battery to store power during the course of the event.

Retrofit model for Concentrated solar power generation using Stirling Engine

Presented a prototype of a Retrofit model for Concentrated solar power generation using Stirling Engine.

A method to retrofit an old unused satellite dish within campus to generate energy for a classroom block. We built a prototype model as a proof of concept using a smaller Airtel dish.
